We've come a long way because so have you

In 2003 Gill Eastgate joined a small staff uniform design company called Kay Davidson Ltd as Project Manager. Kay was a successful corporatewear designer who had launched her own business in 2002. Together Kay and Gill were successful in clinching the deal with Malmaison hotels and rolled out a complete new staff uniform look across all 7 Malmaison locations during the summer of 2004.

In 2005, following a successful management buyout, Gill became the sole owner and director of the company and renamed the business NKD Clothing Ltd. The next big staff uniform project was Hotel du Vin in 2006, with De Vere Venues and Village Hotels in 2007, then De Vere Collection rolled out uniforms to staff in 2008 as well as a portfolio of single-location and independent clients along the way.

As the business grew, so did the staffing and the space required! By the summer of 2008 the company had experienced rapid growth, expanded to 9 full time staff with a combined office and warehousing space in central Edinburgh.
